Best Qualities:  The sweetest disposition this side of the Mississippi. down early and have what my friends and I call a “self contained” party.  Saturday night was one of those fabulous nights.  

It was a perfect California summer evening.  We opened our accordion doors to the backyard and started with a beer and some good music (Click here for the selections).  We made a delicious summer dinner of tri-tip, grilled corn on the cob, grilled asparagus and a desert of homemade chocolate sauce, fresh (dripping with sweetness) summer strawberries and homemade whipped cream. I love hanging with my girlfriends, but there is nothing as fabulous as having a party, with just J and I. We talk, we reconnect, we gossip, we laugh and sadly for our neighbors, we like to belt out our favorite songs.  It’s absolute bliss and a GIANT reminder of why we married each other.  

The photo above is what I awoke to on our deck the next morning.  A small reminder of our fun that brought the biggest smile to my face. Have your own self contained party this weekend.  You deserve it.
