name that dog

name that dog

Isn't she cute? It's a good thing.

There is something so special about waking up to a pile of puke in the middle of the living room that Daisy has left for me. Last week her puke contained a plastic bad, a bottle cap and an unidentified object. What is it about items in puke that sets the gag reflex to overdrive?

One of my most favorite things to do is clean up a steamy pile of poo because apparently when we let her out right before bed, she forgot she had to poop. The smell that greets me as I walk into the kitchen to pour my coffee is dreamy.

I also love how much she needs me. She has an ear infection about once a quarter. It requires three separate medicines in each of her ears and two pills wrapped in bread
twice a day. More time that I get to share with her. So sweet.

Especially fun is cleaning up the trash from all over the yard when she has ripped through it looking for a bottle cap or plastic bag to eat. We make a game out of it. What didn’t Daisy choose to eat?

She does have some redeeming qualities. Here.

Because we have lost our minds, drum roll please. We have decided to get her a friend.

Meet “her friend.”

This sweet little pile of goo needs a name and we need your help. He was born on March 3rd and will be coming to join our family at the end of April. He is a chocolate lab and we expect that he will be LARGE which is exactly what I was looking for as J travels on occasion and I like to go for long runs and I want a scary looking dog that is really good with our kids.

How freaking cute is he? I just want to sneak over there every evening and curl up next to him for a long night's sleep.

Please help us name the newest member of our family. If we choose your name, I will send you this cool bag. So. I guess it’s kind of a contest.

Ok... I already discussed names with you on a previous occasion, So, here it goes again.....Sampson, Axel... or you can use the name of my dog, Tucker.
How can a dog sooo cute ever be taken as "scary". If you wanted a dog to look scary, you needed to get a pit bull, Rottweiler, or German Shepard. Although I would never tell anyone my pure bred GS was the biggest baby in the world when he was alive.

We had a chocolate Lab and now we have a yeloow lab puppy, Duke. LOVE me soem Labs!

My choice:
Dyson or Hoover

All of our dogs have loved to help me clean up crumbs and since it seems Daisy likes to suck up things (a bottle cap?! omg!) it is probably going to be fitting for your new pup.

Can't wait to see more pics! Congrats on the new addition!

I don't know. But it must have at least two syllables. Try to call a dog with a one syllable name...it's just wrong.

I still think Kismet is a great name. It means fate. It can be so applicable in so many ways. The only negative was the last Kismet was a kleptomaniac. Nothing was safe if it wasn't tied down. Didn't damage anything. Just stole everything and hid it in her XXXL doghouse. Good Luck!

Ahem. Just want to state, that for the record I mentioned the French "merde" first.

P.S. Even if I hadn't, I think it's actually the perfect name. It sounds really nice and means something "special."

Just wanted to add that if you name him Jennifer, you are teaching your boys a lesson about tolerance, diversity and love. Just sayin...

I Love Duke for "Daisy & Duke"
or Charles
Or JJ? Then every time you call JJ (the dog) your husband will come running....

Sarah votes for "Fuzz Buzz" (she names all her stuffed animals that)

I'll let you know if Jeff comes up with something cleaver!

Beauregard -- Beau for short. Because Daisy and Beau sound like they live on a beautiful Tara-esque plantation with a long, sweeping driveway... while Daisy and Duke sound like trailer trash. Apologies, Beccah. If she chooses Beau, you can have the bag. Cute, but not me.

But he is GORGEOUS! I want to eat him up!

Hershey.

(or: Cocoa Pebbles, and the pebbles will be what you clean up every day!).)

Or: Merde, which is the French word for 'shit' but sounds way classier.

;)

Tell the other entrants to kiss that bag goodbye! I have the perfect name for the puppy! Remember the Johnny Cash song "A boy named Sue"? How about a dog named Jennifer?!

"Merde" means poop in Italian.

"Amico" means friend in Italian.

"Giro" means run in Italian.
