after the storm

after the storm

Yesterday we had a fabulous winter storm blow through California.  The rain came pouring down and the wind blew so hard at times I expected to see Toto come flying by my head.

I love the way the sky looks just after a storm. Her fight has ended, but the hurt remains. Still disrupted with clouds, some black, some white, but the clear blue sky behind hinting that reconciliation is on it's way.

And then, the next morning, she offers up her apology and in her never ending desire to please, hands you a gift so beautiful that you can't help but forgive her.

I liked how the storms in California, Mother Nature puts the leaves back onto the trees instead of blowing them off. Like in your pictures.

I love weather like that - proper force of nature type weather. Normally in England it's all grey and drizzle, blending from day into the next.
