just another day in the life

just another day in the life

I could take a picture like this most days.  One of the boys and JJJ aka: Depends on my mood.
What I love:He looks good in a cowboy hat or a business suit and wears them both daily. But not together, that would be creepy.
Hobbies: Building furniture, remodeling homes, playing sports with our kids, laughing with me. Seriously.
spending time together doing something fun and creative or throwing a football or lacrosse ball.  NOW, if he took my photo it would most certainly be with my mouth wide open going on and on about how hard I work around here and could you all just pick up after yourselves or stop tracking dirt in the house or how is it only 9:30a.m. and I am in need of a martini.

They finished their bird house and went outside to hang it in the tree.  ColtonColton aka: Moose, Duece, Colt, CJ
Age:
3
Favorite Word:
Fart
Hobbies:
Playing in the dirt, setting off fire alarms at preschool and bossing people around.
Best Qualities:
The sweetest disposition this side of the Mississippi.
was so excited he couldn't stand still.  He was jumping up and down and doing this thing with his arms where he throws them out to the side, gets them as straight as they can be, splays his fingers and then starts over.  He can do this for thirty minutes straight, not kidding. I will try and video it for you sometime.

birdhouse

Birdhouse hung, Colton picked up the cup filled with birdseed and dumped it in. The pride and glee on his face was almost too much for my heart to take.

I leaned over and said to Colt, “You have the greatest PapaJJ aka: Depends on my mood.

.”

He looked me square in the eyes and whispered, “Thank you.”

I doubt he truly meant “thanks for lassoing in this great guy to be my dad,” BUT if he knew how hard I had to work to get him, and someday believe me he will, he would have meant it that way.  So, Colton James Mullen, YOU’RE WELCOME.
