JJ comes up with the coolest things to do with the boys.  For his 40th birthday I got him a telescope and the other day he took these little tiny letters that have sticker backs with ColtonColton aka: Moose, Duece, Colt, CJ

Hobbies:  Playing in the dirt, setting off fire alarms at preschool and bossing people around.
Best Qualities:  The sweetest disposition this side of the Mississippi. to a tree at the end of our property.  Then they came back up to the house, set up the telescope and found the tree and the letters.  Colton was SO excited.

This morning spotting all of the dew on our grass in the backyard, he had another one of his BRILLIANT ideas.  Down they went to make footprints.  Then they both came running up to see their artwork.  Again, Colton was SO excited and no plastic toys were purchased in the process. Winner winner chicken dinner.

ps. I am expecting big things out of our next date night.

Addendum:  I just walked outside to find a very perplexed look on Colton's face.  "Well mom," he said, "Where did all the footprints go?" 

Sometimes he is so innocent and sweet  I just want to eat him up.

Which reminds me of something someone said to me a couple years ago. He looked at Colton and said, "You know what they say, when they are this age you want to eat them up.  When they are teenagers, you wish you had." How true that is.
