I am forever trying to find new books for my tweens and teens.
“Just surprise me merm,” they say. (Yes, they call me merm. No, I don’t know why.) Then I surprise them. “Merm, this book is lame.”
Or?
“Merm, you already bought me this book.”
I can barely remember their names most days.
“Keenan, Noah, Colt, crap, whoever you are, shut the door. You aren’t being raised in a barn.”
How in the wide world of literary selections am I suppose to remember the books they’ve read?
Also? I can’t even pick out the right deodorant. How can I possibly pick out a 300 page book that is supposed to hold their attention for hours while I work on my computer?
One other thing? I don’t want to have to read every vampire, dragon, lusty love, queen bee getting her butt kicked inside covers to find the “perfect” book for my tweens and teens.
My guess is the rest of you are looking for excellent book selections that come recommended by tweens and teens and/or parents of said tweens and teens. Then you can say, “Well I didn’t pick it out. Kyle in Ohio did. So if you don’t like it, let him know.” Roll your eyes and exit the room with a door slam.
Please leave your kids favorite reads in the comment section below. Every time they read a new one, come back and add it. I have created a section here on Ooph called Book List. See it there on the left. Each time a new book is added below, I will add it to our Ooph Tween/Teen Book List. Check back each time you are headed online or to a bookstore.
Please indicate if it is most likely for a boy, girl or both and at what age your child read the book.
