You can use this rub on any steak. We like a good ribeye (bone-in) around here too. I don't like to marinate my steaks because I like the flavor of the beef. If you let them soak in something for hours, it ends up just tasting like the marinade. Instead I put this delicious and simple rub on the outside. It makes the outside of the filets crisp up a bit and taste incredible and the inside still has the flavor of the beef.
Take the filets out of the fridge about thirty minutes before you are going to put them on the grill. Layer both sides with this steak rub and let sit.
Ingredients:
2 filets (8-10 ounce)
2 tablespoons butter (room temperature)
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon McCormick Montreal Steak Seasoning (25% less sodium)
Pierce the filets a few times with a fork and pour the soy sauce equally over both. Rub each side with butter and sprinkle with steak seasoning. Grill over medium heat until desired inside temperature is reached.
