Finding a childrens' book amongst the 10,000 that seem to get published daily, most of them absolute crap, is exhausting.  Especially knowing that you are going to read the damn thing about 342 times over the next year.  It's enough to make you want to put an ice pick through your eye. 

I found this book about a month ago and it is precious. I love the beautiful artwork. Bear Snores On is about a bear in hibernation.  It is cold and blustery outside so several animals come in to his cave to warm up. They build a fire, make some tea and pop some pop corn all while keeping an eye on the sleeping bear.

As bear snores on, the party heats up. Somehow a fleck of pepper flies into bears nose and you can imagine what happens next.  Bear finally wakes up. Is he angry at the animals partying around him?  Oh no.  He is sad that they are enjoying a party and he has missed all the fun. An enjoyable book that you and the little ones will love.
