one counts

one counts

I am crazy for this toddler book.  I read it to ColtonColton aka: Moose, Duece, Colt, CJ
Age:
3
Favorite Word:
Fart
Hobbies:
Playing in the dirt, setting off fire alarms at preschool and bossing people around.
Best Qualities:
The sweetest disposition this side of the Mississippi.
as often as I can. Which usually means I have to read two books when I read it because OMG that kid wants to read the same book every night.  HOLY HAIR PULLER BATMAN.

One, by Kathryn Otoshi, is about bullying.  Red bullies Blue and the other colors don't stand up to Red even though they love Blue.  Blue, is quiet, Yellow is sunny, Orange is outgoing.  You get the idea.

Then the number One shows up and has a high self esteem because he knows he counts (get it) and he stands up to Red the bully.  Ultimately all the colors turn into numbers as they stand up for themselves and realize they count.  SO CLEVER.  LOVE IT.
